Principal Data Engineer

This role is will be responsible to design and develop the technical solution and will be hands on technology professional. This role will closely collaborate with the Tech Lead and other members of the squad to deliver quality solutions to support the business needs

The Team

The team/ squad will part of a larger chapter which is focused on revisioning our Workplace Investing Communications Platforms. This passionate team is a part of Workplace Investing business unit. The analyst position will work in partnership with Squad Leaders, Chapter Leaders, and developers to analyze existing solutions and designs, offer solutioning by working with teams and documentation. We are laser focused on modernizing and bringing innovative solutions to our business partners. \u00A0The Expertise You Have

  • Bachelor s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) required

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Data engineering, data warehousing and analytics technologies

  • Strong working knowledge of cloud native data warehousing and data lake solutions using Snowflake, Redshift etc.

  • Experience building scalable patterns for data consumption from cloud based data-lakes.

  • Advanced experience with PL/SQL and complex queries

  • Advanced skills in data intensive application development, data integration, and data pipeline design patterns on a distributed platform

  • Strong knowledge of designing data engineering solutions and platforms

  • Experience working with SnapLogic and Airflow

  • Working experience with Relational Databases like Oracle

  • Proven ability with modern Object-Oriented Programming Languages (Python, Scala, Java)

  • Experience with business intelligence and analytics tools such as OBIEE, PowerBI or Tableau

  • Solid understanding of Cloud Computing and DevOps concepts including CI/CD pipelines

  • Significant experience with ELT data integration and data movement design patterns

  • Working experience of NoSQL and BigData technologies such as e.g. Hadoop, HBase, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.

  • Your ability and passion for leading tech teams and mentor junior engineers

  • Your ability to collaborate with other technical and business minds in the organization

  • Your ability to learn and experiment with new technologies and patterns

  • Your penchant for modern test driven and automation driven software development methodologies

  • Your expertise in converting technology goals into achievable in

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs.
