Position Summary: Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing/Inventory Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support our operations.

Key Responsibilities for Purchasing/Inventory Specialist:

  • Oversee the purchasing process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and placing orders.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy and address discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with various departments to forecast demand and manage supply chain needs.
  • Analyze purchasing trends and make recommendations for cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and assess their performance regularly.
  • Prepare and maintain purchasing reports and documentation for audit purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in purchasing practices.

Qualifications for Purchasing/Inventory Specialist:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain roles.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in purchasing and inventory management is a plus.
