About the program: We are accepting applications for our DOD SkillBridge Employment Skills Training Apprenticeship Program, designed and developed to provide our nation's military members the opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job training and professional experience from a global leader in highly specialized microelectronic manufacturing that provides support to the military, medical, electric vehicle, and 5G market segments. This opportunity is only available to service members who meet the intent and program requirements outlined by the DOD SkillBridge Program. Our limitations, requirements, and standards are founded in DOD guidance. Please refer to your nearest installation's SkillBridge Program Manager for additional DOD guidance.


Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must meet all eligibility requirements outlined in DOD Instructions for SkillBridge participation.
  • Official TAD/TDY Orders and other DOD mandated paperwork for the period of the apprenticeship.
  • Must have the ability to participate in the apprenticeship program for no less than 120 days.

Training Overview: Throughout the 120-day program, participants will engage in practical exercises, case studies, and real-world scenarios to reinforce their learning. This instruction will be delivered primarily through online, interactive, and practical demonstrations. Regular check-ins with mentors and supervisors will ensure continuous progress and support. The manager will conduct performance reviews after 30, 60, and 90 days to track participants' progress. At the end of each phase, assessments will be evaluated to determine satisfactory outcomes. In the event of any unsatisfactory evaluations, a remedial training plan will be implemented immediately to improve training effectiveness. By the end of the program, participants will be well-equipped to excel as Talent Acquisition Business Partners specializing in the manufacturing industry while adhering to the guidelines of the DOD SkillBridge program.

Job Summary: As a Talent Acquisition Business Partner, your primary responsibility is identifying and attracting top-tier candidates who will fuel the company's growth by bringing in exceptional talent. This involves utilizing various recruitment techniques, including implementing technology solutions, employing alternative search methods, and using data analytics. You will work alongside HR partners and hiring managers to develop strategies for sourcing, attracting, and selecting suitable employees and facilitate their onboarding process. To excel in this position, you must possess a diverse skill set, including exceptional organizational abilities, adept people management, strategic thinking, effective communication, multitasking proficiency, and a thorough understanding of data analysis and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use cost-effective methods to attract, recruit, and hire highly qualified candidates in the least amount of time. Manage day-to-day activities of the staffing process.
  • Responsible for determining and defining the recruiting strategy, sourcing qualified candidates, screening resumes, interviewing, assessing candidates, and preparing offers.
  • Also responsible for Request to Hire Review, job posting, ad placement, and direct sourcing efforts, including job fairs, college recruiting, and web-based mining. As needed, Provide, advise, counsel, and influence management to yield positive results.
  • Must ensure efforts meet legal and corporate compliance requirements and business activities.
  • Develop and coordinate print and internet advertising strategies, diversity and professional recruiting processes, employee referral programs, Intern/Summer Work/Co-op/ Trainee programs, and the collection and maintenance of employment metrics.
  • Develop and implement tools and processes to improve cost-effectiveness by optimizing recruiting strategies.
  • Support Knowles Precision Devices diversity initiative by ensuring diverse internal and external placements. Recruiting, where possible, at colleges with significantly diverse populations. Position jobs and recruiters that specialize in recruiting and placing diverse candidates. Network with diversity-related associations and organizations. Once established, this position will be required to work with the job posting and applicant tracking systems, including report generation.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise:

  • A minimum of 2 + years’ experience in corporate recruiting, ideally with a manufacturing company.
  • Experience with online recruitment tools, including online job boards and web-based ATS, is required
  • Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with AAP compliance
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to perform root cause analysis
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment is required
  • Ability to work with a flexible schedule to accommodate interviews and phone screens
  • Ability to handle deadline-driven tasks
