What you will do:


The Production Supervisor directly supervises employees in the production area, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, safety regulations, and other applicable laws. They coordinate activities of production workers to meet production schedules and maintain quality standards, inspect products, coordinate machine setup, and adjust operations to meet quality standards. They coordinate with other supervisors to maintain records, conduct meetings, coordinate activities, and work with the Human Resources team to assist in hiring and training employees, addressing complaints, and ensuring a positive work environment. They will be responsible for developing and mentoring the growth of our Team Leaders.


How you will do it:

  • Drive a culture of safety ownership and awareness, enforcing safety regulations and company policies.
  • Interview, hire, and train new employees on production processes and equipment, and ensure that all employees receive ongoing training and development. Support and develop employees through coaching and mentorship.
  • Manage performance, rewards, training, and discipline of employees in partnership with Human Resources for guidance.
  • Act as a servant leader and address employee questions, concerns and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Promote and guide employees to self-service portal, Benefit Center or HRSSC (HR Shared Service Centers) for questions or changes to their benefits, pay, and personal information on record.
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and support to team leads and production employees.
  • Assist with production planning and achieve departmental objectives.
  • Use KPI measures to improve working conditions, production methods, equipment performance, 5S, and product quality to improve efficiency.
  • Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct machine setup and adjustments.
  • Manage production schedules with the planners and estimate worker hour requirements for customer orders. Adjust labor allocation throughout department / shift to meet forecast. Maintain rates and production records.
  • Interpret specifications, drawings, and production orders, and assign duties to workers.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving them.
  • Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Coordinate activities with other supervisors and functional leaders to ensure smooth departmental operations.
  • Communicate effectively by conducting regular departmental meetings regarding safety, quality, organizational initiatives, and results.
  • Ensure activities are executed following policies and regulatory standards.
  • Review and approve assigned employee’s time in Kronos. Investigate discrepancies or questionable time entries and correct as needed.
  • Ensure that changes to an employee’s department, supervisor, shift, job title, compensation, etc. are updated in WorkDay in a timely manner.
  • Act as a change agent and positively influence others during organizational and operational change.
  • Other duties as assigned.



What we look for:


Required

University degree and 1 year suggested minimum experience, or 2-year degree and 6 years suggested minimum experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Ability to read, interpret documents, and write routine reports and correspondence.

Effective verbal and nonverbal communication skills, with existing shift and other shifts.

Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Ability to perform fundamental tasks on a computer. This includes proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word. MS PowerPoint and MS Access experience a plus.

Ability to adhere to delegation of authority and lead by management's instructions.

Attendance is an essential job requirement, including punctuality and reliability.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Must be able to work extended and flexible hours to include weekends as needed to support team members.
