Position Overview

The Director of Construction will be the driving force behind our construction operations, overseeing swimming pool and hardscape projects from conception to completion. This pivotal role demands a seasoned professional with extensive experience in construction management, particularly in swimming pool construction for both residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will excel in project oversight, team leadership, and client relations while ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, budgetary constraints, and timelines.


Key Responsibilities

Project Management Orchestrate all facets of swimming pool and hardscape construction, including strategic planning, meticulous scheduling, precise budgeting, and efficient resource allocation.



Team Leadership Guide, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team of project managers, site supervisors, and construction personnel. Foster a culture of effective communication and seamless collaboration across all departments.Client Engagement Serve as the primary liaison with clients, translating their visions into tangible realities while adeptly managing expectations and addressing concerns.Financial Stewardship Develop and oversee construction budgets, implementing cost-effective solutions without compromising quality. Monitor and optimize financial performance across labor, materials, and subcontractor expenditures.Quality Assurance Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure strict adherence to design specifications, safety regulations, and local building codes. Establish and maintain industry-leading quality standards.Stakeholder Management Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors, negotiating favorable contracts and ensuring timely project delivery.Project Scheduling Craft comprehensive project timelines, meticulously tracking milestones to guarantee punctual completion of all construction phases.Innovation Leadership Identify and implement process improvements and cutting-edge construction methodologies to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.


Qualifications

Experience A minimum of 10 years in construction management, with **extensive, demonstrable experience in swimming pool construction**. A proven track record in both residential and commercial pool projects is essential.Leadership Exemplary leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire, manage, and develop diverse teams.Technical Proficiency In-depth understanding of construction processes, engineering principles, and proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).Communication Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders at all levels.Financial Acumen Proven expertise in project budgeting, cost estimation, and financial management within the construction industry.Strategic Problem-Solving Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to risk mitigation and issue resolution.Credentials Relevant construction management certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are highly valued. A general contractor's license is strongly preferred.
