Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Construction Director to lead and oversee our growing team of skilled professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, particularly in both residential and commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of swimming pool and hardscape construction, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, site supervisors, and construction staff. Ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring that their vision is translated into reality, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
  • Develop and manage construction budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality. Monitor financial performance, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs.
  • Oversee construction to ensure adherence to all design specifications, safety regulations, and local building codes. Implement best practices and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Develop comprehensive project schedules, tracking milestones and ensuring timely completion of all phases of construction.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative construction methods to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7-10 years in construction management, with a strong background in swimming pools, hardscapes, and outdoor spaces. Experience in both residential and commercial projects is required.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage, motivate, and grow a diverse team.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, engineering principles, and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Solid experience in project budgeting, cost estimation, and financial management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and mitigate risks.
  • Relevant construction management certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are a plus. A general contractor's license is preferred.
