Develops RESTful Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) using Java in a DevOps environment. Analyzes, design, and develops system and integration testing and contributes to problem resolution and planning using Java and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Writes automated tests using jUnit. Provides business solutions by developing complex software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
  • Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
  • Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
  • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
  • Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
  • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) using Java, Spring and AWS Cloud Technologies in financial and large public enterprise systems.

Or, alternatively, Master s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) using Java, Spring and AWS Cloud Technologies in financial and large public enterprise systems.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (\u201CDE\u201D) designing and developing full stack Java-based multi-tier architectures, using Java, Angular, J2EE technologies, Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful Web services, Oracle/ PostgreSQL Stored procedures, SQL, Messaging services (JMS or Apache Kafka), Groovy, Jasmine framework, JUnit, and Mocking frameworks.
  • DE designing and implementing Cloud infrastructure practices for enterprise applications using AWS cloud (Ec2, ELB, EKS, S3, and Lambda); and provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure through code using AWS cloud formation Templates.
  • DE supporting and monitoring application logs using AWS CloudWatch, Splunk and Datadog, and creating alerts and monitors using Datadog and Splunk queries to proactively resolve application run time issues.
  • DE implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for enterprise applications, using Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Veracode, Gradle, Maven, Kubernetes, Docker, and Shell Scripting automated application deployment flows.
