Crafts and delivers world-class data platforms and software services using Java, Spring Boot, Tomcat, Angular, and JavaScript. Designs and architects technical solutions on platform dedicated to high-scale processing of large amounts of data using Oracle SQL. Develops RESTful Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and API design using persistence frameworks on Cloud Infrastructure. Writes automated tests using jUnit and Protractor. Develops Java software applications and services in a distributed environment. Provides business solutions by developing complex software applications.\u00A0

Primary Responsibilities:\u00A0

  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.\u00A0

  • Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.\u00A0

  • Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.\u00A0

  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.\u00A0

  • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.\u00A0

  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.\u00A0

  • Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.\u00A0

  • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.\u00A0

  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.\u00A0

  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.\u00A0

Education and Experience:\u00A0

\u00A0

Bachelor s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing data platforms and software services using Java, Spring Boot, Front end frameworks, or Cloud technologies within a financial services environment.\u00A0\u00A0

Or, alternatively, Master s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing data platforms and software services using Java, Spring Boot, Front end frameworks, or Cloud technologies within a financial services environment.\u00A0

Candidate must also possess:\u00A0

  • Demonstrated Expertise (\u201CDE\u201D) developing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and data capabilities to scale within a financial services environment, using distributed data technologies; and designing Web-based applications with microservices architecture hosted on cloud infrastructure, using Rest APIs, HTML5, JavaScript, or Angular.\u00A0

  • DE developing Spring Boot applications using persistence frameworks -- MyBatis, Hibernate, or JPA;\u00A0 developing batch modules for bulk data processing using Java, Spring Boot, Multi-Threading, or Rest APIs; and performing application modernization and migrating applications to a Cloud infrastructure.\u00A0

  • DE assessing current system capabilities and designing future technology architectures to align business needs with strategic technology road maps; developing RESTful APIs on AWS Cloud Infrastructure; configuring AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) Clusters; building and deploying Docker images on AWS EKS; and configuring, developing, and deploying instances of AWS components and services required for application infrastructure and functionalities.\u00A0

  • DE performing database design and development using relational (Oracle) databases; developing Java middleware applications using data integration tools -- Amazon Web Services (AWS), ActiveMQ, or RESTful Web services; programming enterprise application architecture patterns using Camel and JMS; and writing automated tests by using Junit or Protractor.\u00A0
