THE POSITION:

We're searching for a highly motivated Sr. Research Associate (In Vitro) to join their team and be responsible for lab management while making major contributions to design, planning and performance of in vitro studies related to mechanism of action, early exploratory indications, tolerability, PK/PD, and therapeutic efficacy.


This will begin as a contract position and is expected to be long-term with option to convert FTE next year.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary scientific groups including discovery specialists and Biology team members
  • Organize and manage lab processes and schedules, working with Site Head and Operations and Research teams
  • Make major contributions to design, planning and performance of in vitro and in vivo studies related to mechanism of action, early exploratory indications, tolerability, PK/PD, and therapeutic efficacy
  • Assess biomarkers (e.g. Luminex, PCR, ELISA) in animal tissues and cell extracts
  • Confocal imaging and/or histology experience
  • Order supplies and maintain inventories for in vitro procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of experiments and procedures following approved company guidelines
  • Excellent organizational and lab management skills are required


REQUIREMENTS:

  • B.Sc or MS with minimum 3+ years of research experience
  • In vitro background with familiarity/exposure to in vivo studies
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, knowledge of lab equipment, procedures and day-to-day laboratory function, and strict follow-up of laboratory safety guidelines.
  • Familiarity with the basic lab software: Microsoft Office, GraphPad Prism, ELN for record keeping
