Staff Accountant

CB Partners is teaming up with one of our best clients to help fill their open Staff Accountant opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team. In this direct hire opportunity, you can earn between $60,000 and $75,000 per year depending on experience.



Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Maintain integrity of the general ledger through reconciliations and journal entries
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist in tax compliance and provide audit support
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
