Our client is looking for a Senior ERP Project Manager with expertise in Microsoft Business Central. The successful candidate will lead and manage ERP implementation projects, specifically working closely with Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) who are the end-users. This role involves significant interaction with executives, making prior ERP implementation experience crucial. This role will drive our client's ERP implementation, with responsibilities in project planning, scope definition, effort estimation, risk mitigation, cross-departmental issues, and providing status reports to executive leadership. The role demands someone with expert knowledge implementing and supporting ERPs and their critical integration. Does this sound like you? Location: Hybrid (occasional attendance in Portland, OR office)

Type: Long-term contract


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partners with vendors to manage the implementation of a new ERP, support project by coordinating resources, scheduling activities, ensuring effective communication, and monitoring timelines and deliverables.
  • Works with stakeholders and vendors to document scope, identify and escalate risks, and remove impediments.
  • Works with leadership to drive target dates, creates status reports for process leads and executive leadership. Creates project budget reports.
  • Works with other Project Managers, scrum masters, and process leads to prioritize backlog and schedule work with needed team members.
  • Manages change request process for scope change, feature requests, and budget additions.
  • Organizes and facilitates project standups, planning and estimating, retrospectives, demos, and testing sessions.
  • Ensures testing and process documentation are created.
  • Proactively facilitates, supports, and mentors the daily efforts of regular staff as well as project contractors.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining an effective project process.

Other duties:

  • Serves as liaison between company and vendors as assigned.
  • Engage with process leads and leadership in 1-on-1s.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (IT), Business, or closely related field.
  • Around 10 years of experience implementing and supporting ERPs and CRMs.
  • Around 5 years of experience implementing or supporting enterprise integrations.
  • Proven experience planning and implementing complex projects with strong organizational and group facilitation skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively, solve problems, and collaborate to find solutions.
  • Experience in balancing scope, budget, and resources.
  • Experience in ticketing systems (Jira preferred), and project management software.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle, with experience in Agile development preferred.
  • PMP certification or similar accreditation preferred.
  • B2B e-commerce experience preferred
