As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will:

  • Design, Implement, and Maintain Network Infrastructure:
    • Install and configure hardware components like servers, network switches, and patch panels.
    • Ensure seamless integration of these components for optimal network performance.
    • Manage network cabling and structured cabling solutions to support reliable connectivity and future scalability.
    • Oversee power distribution units (PDUs) and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) to ensure continuous operation and prevent downtime.
  • Administer Systems and Security:
    • Maintain servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms supporting various manufacturing processes.
    • Implement and manage Active Directory services, user accounts, and group policies.
    • Perform regular system updates, backups, and security protocols to safeguard data integrity and protect against cyber threats.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to network and system security.
  • Collaborate and Support:
    • Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide technical solutions.
    • Offer technical support and troubleshooting for network connectivity, system performance, and application issues.
    • Document network configurations and system architecture to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 6+ years of experience.
    • Proven experience in network engineering, systems administration, or a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
    • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, or MCSE are desirable.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in network protocols and technologies (DNS, SMTP, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs) and equipment (Aruba, Cisco, HPE).
    • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, server administration, and virtualization platforms (VMware).
    • Experience with security solutions, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and Microsoft Active Directory.
