Sales Manager for well-established CPG Distributor

The SM is responsible for targeting distributor base in new and/existing markets. Planning and implementing sales strategies for the company that focus on revenue generation for the inside and outside company sales force. Targeting distributor base and new/existing markets by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree

7 years progressive experience in a sales Management capacity

Experience selling to Distributors as well as managing a direct sales team of inside and/outside reps

Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Must have experience working in a multi-sales channel company


Summary:

Manages the activities of the Regional Managers and Inside Sales team.

Oversee and assist in developing Action plans for each account.

Ensure necessary resources are available to meet individual and Sales objectives

Monitor performance and development of Sales personnel.

Hire and develop an Independent Sales Representative

Implement strategic sales plans

Manage Sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly

Manages staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs.

Activities: Manages the activities of the Regional Managers and Inside Sales team.

Oversee and assist in developing

Review demographic information and identify sales opportunities.

Develop and manage Sales budget annually.

Derive actions plans from sales.

Forecasting abilities

Set performance metrics.

Develop sales territories to maximize sales teams’ efforts.

Manage staffing, training, performance management of sales team.

Attend Trade Shows
