Senior Human Resources Consultant

We have a non-profit in Fremont seeking a strong Interim VP of HR or Sr HR Consultant to support their organization for a 6+ month assignment.
Role could be temp to hire for the right candidate
Position could be temp to hire for the right person but ideally they are targeting a strong HR Consultant while they do their full-time search.
Position requires 3-4 days onsite (currently HR Team is 5-days onsite so ideally 4-days onsite is preferred). Monday is a required onsite day due to the weekly Executive Meeting.
700+ employees and would be managing a team of 6 HR Professionals along with the recruiters on the team.
Ideal candidate is open to both managing and tactical HR work.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and implement a fit-for-purpose, company-wide Human Capital strategy, in alignment with the leadership team and the HC professionals in all the company locations.
- Prepare, lead, and execute all company-wide HC processes with quality. This includes recruitment, onboarding, talent management and succession planning, performance management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, organizational architecture, as well as internal communication and culture-custodianship.
- Business Partner with the top leadership, and rest of the business, to provide sound people-matters advice.
- Develop, maintain and implement HC policies and processes.
- Resolve operational issues related to HC.
- Keep abreast of new developments in HC practices and legislation for application within
- the company, where appropriate.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of broad Human Resources experience, managing a team of professionals
- Strategic and Hands-on: Able to set a vision and roadmap, whilst at the same time translating those into actions and deliverables
- Define and build a talent strategy to help us attract and retain the best talent
- Knowledge of business financial principles.
- Broad management skill set including strategic planning, risk management, conflict-management, and stakeholder management.
- You excel in a fast paced environment, preferably experience working in small or start up companies.
