Job responsibilities include providing roof consulting related to roof design and detailing for a company that is focused on components of the building enclosure including roofs, walls, windows, waterproofing, pavements and other specialty areas.

Duties/Skills:
* Ability to apply knowledge of low-slope and steep-slope roofing systems and understand construction, as well as the use and application of sealants, flashings, thermal insulation and air/water/vapor barrier materials.
* Provide roof design and detailing for roofing and related projects

* Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and technical specifications and have a general understanding of structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.

* Work with clients and consulting staff to develop new architectural details and/or remedial details and specifications for roofing systems.
* Work outdoors on roofs doing field verification of existing conditions to develop construction documents.

* Perform necessary physical activities relating to roof field work including climbing stairs and ladders, carrying and working with tools, using safety equipment as needed.

* Communicate clearly and utilize excellent writing skills.
