Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this administrative position is to assist the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Director with their duties. This position requires strong organizational skills and an ability to work in a sometimes fast paced environment. Candidates must have good presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, and be detail-oriented. This position will serve as an ambassador of the Atlanta Bar Association.
The duties of this administrative position include, but are not limited to, the following: Tips: Provide a summary of the role, what success in the position looks like, and how this role fits into the organization overall.
Execute registration for Association events, including webinars and in-person breakfast, lunch and evening CLE events, including setup of online registration pages, payments processing, preparation and distribution of marketing emails, creation of graphic designs, and posting events on Association social media pages.
Perform auxiliary tasks for events, such as preparation of name tags, CLE sign-in and attendance sheets, retrieve supplies from storage, event monitoring to ensure all last minute registrants receive event information in a timely manner, compile CLE material PDFs as needed, etc.
Attend and manage CLE events as assigned, which includes remote meetings and in person events. Event management may include tracking attendance and ensuring attendees sign in, setting up and conducting live-streaming/recording of event, taking photographs of speakers/panelists and event attendees, collecting payment and sending registration information emails including CLE materials to attendees who register on-site.
Close-out meetings by preparing CLE reports for both in-person and virtual events, send invoices and collect any outstanding payments, record attendance information, compile event photographs with captions for inclusion in The Atlanta Lawyer, and update appropriate files in Association's SharePoint online filing system.
Edit and post recordings of programs into online CLE library.
Work to ensure positive experiences for members and guests at Association and CLE events.
Work effectively as a team member to realize strategic objectives.
Participate in other special projects of the Association and execute duties as directed.
Assist with administrative office duties, including answering phone and routing calls as needed, as well as monitoring the cle@atlantabar.org email folder.
Qualifications
Required skills:
Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Suite with proficiency in Word, Excel and Adobe.
The ability to multi-task is essential.
Early morning and evening in-person events are involved.
Personal transportation and a flexible schedule are required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Preferred skills: Proficiency with Canva
Education
Associate Degree required
Minimum of three to five years administrative experience preferred.
