Job Summary
The Administrative Director of Public Affairs plans and directs the operational, budgetary and personnel activities of the Public Affairs department. Directs the hospital’s corporate communications program while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements governing public information and confidentiality. Develops services, resource plans and activities with other departments to meet overall hospital goals and objectives.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Work Experience:
Five years of experience in public relations, advertising, communications or related field required; hospital setting preferred.
Five years of management experience are required.
Licensure/Registration/Certification
None
Education and Training:
A Master’s degree in a related field is required.
Skills:
- Excellent communications skills, oral and written.
- Knowledge of public relations and community education.
- Knowledge of news media coverage, publication production, and event coordination.
- Knowledge of advertising and marketing strategies.
