Are you a skilled Maintenance Mechanic looking for a challenging and rewarding role in the Food Manufacturing industry? We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of manufacturing equipment. You will work closely with our team of experts to ensure our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. If you are a problem-solver who enjoys working with your hands and has a strong technical aptitude, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Conducting daily inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction or wear.
2. Performing predictive and preventative maintenance tasks on equipment to minimize downtime.
3. Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
4. Collaborating with the manufacturing team to understand equipment issues and develop effective solutions.
5. Maintaining accurate records of maintenance work performed, including parts used and time spent.
6. Ensuring all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
7. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
2. Demonstrated expertise in predictive and preventative maintenance techniques.
3. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
4. Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members.
7. Commitment to adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
8. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, as well as work in confined spaces.
9. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant training in a related field is a plus.
