MBA Energy & Industrial, LLC. is now seeking to hire a qualified Estimating Coordinator to solicit subcontractor and supplier bids and assist in our subcontractor vetting processes. MBA is a design-build, project management, and general contracting company headquartered in Magnolia, Texas. We are engaged in the engineering, design, and construction of buildings and process systems in the renewable energy industry, the manufacturing, mining, and chemical industries, the rail and trucking industries, and the oil & gas industries including upstream, midstream, and downstream. MBA is a preferred contractor for the major EPC companies that are engaged in large-scale projects in the same industries.


The ideal candidate will have the ability to highlight their strengths in the following functions:

  • Finding subcontractors in urban and rural areas throughout the US
  • Developing requisitions and organizing bid specifications
  • Overseeing the distribution of bid invitations to vendors
  • Preparing, reviewing, and tracking vendor bids
  • Strong ability to communicate via phone to generate a complete subcontractor bid list for each project
  • Preparing formal written correspondence to bidders/vendors
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Naturally a self-starter who works well with various personalities


Responsibilities:

Assist Estimating Team with all bid opportunities including:

  • Actively search out, confirm interest and qualify subcontractors
  • Use electronic bid programs to organize and track subcontractor bid packages
  • Create folders in SharePoint for new bids, save all bid documents to folder
  • Possible travel to project areas to find interested subcontractors
  • Assist and review estimators work


Daily Functions:

  • Creation and tracking of estimating job folders in the system
  • Collect and review subcontractor bids
  • Contact subcontractors to request proposals and other details
  • Provide assistance to the estimators during quoting process
  • Provide assistance to the estimators during take off process
  • Attend estimating meetings as required
  • Occasional travel to job sites throughout the United States
  • Assisting senior estimator throughout the bidding process
  • Use of Building Connected, Procore, Bluebeam, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce


Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Starting at $60,000/ year

Experience: 1 year working in similar role
