Remote Prior Authorization License Practical Nurse (LPN) Compensation

  • The pay for this position is $37.17 per hour.
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance.

Remote Prior Authorization License Practical Nurse (LPN) Highlights

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
  • The required availability for this position is.
  • After training schedule will be between 8:30am to 8pm Est with at least one weekend day.
    • Weekend schedule will be between 7am to 9pm est.
    • 40 hrs. weeks and OT available as needed.
    • Schedule will be 8-hour days. We will attempt to give everyone schedule preferences.

Remote Prior Authorization License Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include answering inbound phone calls, processing cases and electronic authorizations, loading authorizations, and making follow-up phone calls utilizing appropriate courteous and professional behavior based upon established standards.
  • Maintaining complete and accurate, documentation of all necessary information is necessary and will involve computer system data entry, data management, and reporting.
  • Review criteria-based prior authorizations following policy and procedure.
  • Provide on-call after hours nurse availability for urgent PA requests.
  • Provide internal nurse support to the PA team and member services department.
  • Refer cases not meeting clinical criteria to the Pharmacist and MD team(s).
  • Shift priorities while exhibiting a high level of urgency with all calls and assignments.
