What You'll Be Doing: As a ChildWatch Attendant, your main responsibility will be providing safe, high-quality childcare to children while planning and facilitating educational and fun activities. You’ll maintain a secure, welcoming environment that reflects the YMCA's core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. You'll also have the chance to interact with parents, keeping them updated and involved in their child’s experience.

Your Responsibilities:

• Implementing childcare activities according to established curriculum guidelines
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of children at all times
• Leading age-appropriate, creative, and educational activities
• Building strong relationships with parents and keeping them informed
• Organizing and maintaining program areas and equipment
• Participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and family nights

What We’re Looking For:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Previous experience working with children
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle childcare situations effectively
