About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Childwatch Attendant to join our team at the YMCA. As a Childwatch Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality childcare and supervision to children, while implementing fun and educational activities that promote their growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing childcare curriculum within established guidelines
  • Supervising children and ensuring their safety at all times
  • Designing and leading age-appropriate activities
  • Maintaining positive relationships with parents
  • Keeping program areas organized and maintaining equipment
  • Attending staff meetings, trainings, and family nights
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Previous childcare experience required
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certifications within 60 days of hire
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle various childcare situations simultaneously
