Are you a driven sales professional eager to help couples plan their dream weddings? As our Event Sales Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in converting leads into bookings while providing personalized tours and building strong client relationships. You'll have the opportunity to combine your sales skills with event coordination to help our exclusive venues, Casa Real and The Palm Event Center, shine. Weekend shifts are required.


POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for driving sales and managing and executing events at Casa Real and The Palm Event Center.

Time is spent dedicated to being solely responsible for converting sales leads which includes leading tours with prospective clients, leveraging booking strategies, following up with custom quotes, responding to inquiries and providing backup to other functional areas as needed.

  • Familiarizes oneself with types of events being held and client’s demands.
  • Enhance personalized tour experience and connection with prospective clients. Understand their needs and preferences.
  • Manage inquiries from lead to booking.
  • Maximize availability for tours.
  • Responsible for proactive sales outreach.
  • Identify and maximize on upselling opportunities.
  • Network and maintain relationships with potential clients.
  • Communicate and negotiate with clients and clients’ vendors to ensure the details and organization of the events are implemented flawlessly.
  • Adapts to everyday demands
  • Assist with Event Coordination team as needed to lead and execute a rehearsal or event.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drives sales and booking strategies to achieve company goals.
  • Maximize availability for tour schedule.
  • Tours prospective clients and follows up with custom quotes, answers additional questions, tactically pursues to encourage booking.
  • Maintain optimal sales to booking ratio determined by company.
  • Complete sales follow-ups in a timely manner.
  • Familiarizes oneself with types of events being held and client’s demands.
  • Communicate and negotiate with clients and clients’ vendors to ensure the details and organization of the events are implemented flawlessly.
  • Collaborates with other departments as needed to make informed decisions for the client and BHG.
  • Assists team in answering at-large clients’ questions via phone calls, emails and in person.
  • Handles issues and troubleshoots any emerging problems on event days.
  • Send out client contracts.
  • Assist with admin support including answering phone calls, walk-ins, and email correspondence.
  • Encourages and inspires a positive, professional, and fun atmosphere that energizes the Beets Hospitality Vision and Values.

SECONDARY DUTIES:

  • Attend tasting events.
  • Supervises Set-Up crew on ‘Day Of’ to ensure all details are meticulously adhered to as needed
  • Supervises Banquet Staff during events to ensure excellent customer service and efficiencies as needed
  • Assists other functional areas with roles such as set-up, serving and dish-out as needed
  • Communicates with clients effectively
  • Assist with managing rehearsals as needed
  • Ensures client and vendor compliance with legal, insurance, OSHA, health and safety requirements
  • Assists with Social Media tactics
  • Ensures applicable client payments are made by issuing invoices and following up as needed

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • BS in Event Management or related field.
  • People skills needed to staff events, coordinate their activities, and lead the team.
  • Work experience as an events planner or organizer or in the hospitality industry
  • Superb time management and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Sales skills and an aptitude for building productive business relationships.
  • Ability to oversee multiple events independently.
  • Able to articulately propose ideas to improve services and event quality.
  • Excellent people skills are a must to work with clients directly to identify their needs and ensure customer satisfaction
  • The abilities to multitask and prioritize are essential, as this role involves overseeing facilities as well as details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, equipment, promotional material etc.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google

Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
