College Station, United States BRW Architects, Inc. Full time

In 1984, three young architects embarked on a journey to design and build spaces that enhance and uplift the way communities live, learn, and serve. From the early days of working out of a spare bedroom and holding meetings by a furnace in the hallway, the purpose has always been to provide better service and create and build exceptional architecture that reflects the values of our clients. Today, the vision remains clear – forge lasting, honest partnerships, draw on expertise while keeping a finger on the pulse of change and innovation, and always invest in one another.

Thirty-nine years later, we have grown to a 140+ person firm through our unwavering dedication to collaborating with clients, innovative design, and building spaces that nurture a sense of ownership and pride in the community served. With offices in Texas (Dallas, Houston, and College Station) and San Francisco, we serve clients who plan for the future of their environments to create spaces that inspire and represent the entire community.

However, we couldn’t do it without our people. At BRW, people are fundamental to everything we do. We thrive on ingenuity, expertise, and creativity born out of connection. Together, we are innovators, designers, collaborators, lifelong learners, and colleagues dedicated to a workplace where we invest in one another. Focusing on cultivating an environment where creativity and ideas thrive…and careers grow is what matters.

Construction Administrators are leaders in the construction phases of a project, managing the day-to-day progress of one or more projects. We support the Principals and project teams in providing the highest standard of service to our Clients to maximize repeat business.

Day-to-day, your role includes:

  • Direct communication with Client and Contractor project representatives
  • Timely review and response to Contractor submittals and RFI’s
  • Clear and concise project documentation maintaining BRW quality standards
  • Lead construction meetings, site visits, observation field reports, and punch walks
  • Review schedule of values, pay applications, and pricing proposals
  • Coordinate production and quality reviews of revisions to construction documents
  • Proactively coordinate with project team consultants
  • Report project progress and coordination status to Project Managers and Principals
  • Check-in with team members to provide CA mentoring opportunities and support role development

As you grow your career with us, you’ll enjoy a host of great benefits. Our firm’s benefits package includes comprehensive coverage starting on day one. It comes complete with access to counselors and legal professionals, along with supplemental benefits. Need pet insurance? We have that, too. At BRW, we know taking time to rest and recharge is vital to a healthy career, so we offer vacation, sick, and mental health days – it’s yours to use. Our firm believes in work-life balance, so we’ve implemented flexible hours. Whether you’re an early or late riser, start your day when you want so you can be your most productive. We also offer extensive professional development opportunities: mentorship, LinkedIn Learning, AIA certifications, guest seminars, and more. Finally, as a team, we strive to know one another as people first and offer the time and space to unplug and connect with one another.
