Role Description

This is a full-time role for an associate to work in the commercial practice section of The Collins Law Firm, a respected, highly awarded law firm in Naperville, IL. We are seeking an attorney with 1-5 years of experience in commercial litigation and transactions. Very strong research and writing skills are essential to the position. The Commercial Litigation Associate will be responsible for handling day-to-day tasks related to commercial litigation cases. This includes conducting legal research, drafting motions, preparing for depositions, representing clients in court, and providing general legal support. This is an on-site position.

 

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of law and legal principles.
  • Experience in conducting legal research and drafting motions.
  • Ability to prepare for and participate in depositions.
  • Familiarity with courtroom procedures and litigation processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex legal issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • 1-5 years of experience in business or commercial litigation.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
