Summary
- Maintenance Engineering employee focuses on planning, designing and implementing maintenance programs to optimize the availability and productivity of manufacturing facilities and equipment including
- Planning and coordinating maintenance engineering work including review of mechanical and electrical engineering specifications
- Support the work with continuous improvements of maintenance and cost optimization of manufacturing.
- Support in subcontractor issues
- May establish standards and policies regarding pollution control, testing, operating procedures, inspection, and maintenance of equipment.
- May research and recommend purchase of new equipment and systems.
Experience
- Applies practical knowledge typically obtained through education and work experience (position typically requires 2 to 5 years relevant experience).
- Experience with preventative maintenance plans for production equipment (electrical/mechanical/automation)
- BS Engineering preferred but not required
- AutoCAD or Solidworks experience preferred.
- Works independently with general supervision.
- May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
