Job Title: Advance Quality Engineer
Department: Program Management Department
Direct Supervisor: Lead Advanced Quality Engineer
II. Job Summary:
1. In charge of the new program quality plan , Manage new program and new product quality development;
2. In charge of the quality department Advance quality engineer (AQE) management;
3. In Charge of deal with the customer complaint about the new program, follow up the return material defect analysis and improvement;
4. In charge of the Engineer change work order management of the program and process;
III. Job Functions and Duties
Representative Duties
1 Responsible to keep data, drawings, and standards effectively archived in a controlled way.
2 Control the new product quality before SOP+3 months
2.1 Participate in the design of new product test and detection plan, responsible for verifying the detection and test capability for new products;
2.2 Organize the process capability study and verification of new product technological process and participate in Run-at-Rate verification;
2.3 Organize product review of samples during new product development, quality gate review before mass production and the process review;
2.4 Participate in the product review, revised changes review and trial assembly during customer's new product development;
2.5 Monitor if all necessary processes and plans during new product development are effectively implemented.
3 New product verification
3.1 Work with Quality Verification Engineer to develop PV testing plan according to the OEM requirements;
3.2 Participate in and track the implementation of PV Testing plan, ensure timely attainment.
4 Solve and improve quality problem
4.1 Properly handling with quality problems occurred during new product development and SOP+6 months;
4.2 Handling with customer complaint and returns of goods during new product development and SOP+6 months;
4.3 Establishing new product quality resume, summarize quality problems and provide improvement suggestions.
5 Other works relating to quality assurance
5.1 Participate in internal training specifically required by customer;
5.2 Responsible for training and guiding new product quality standard and inspection specification;
5.3 Assist quality control supervisor in recognizing and managing process change points;
5.4 Responsible for compiling, archiving and transferring materials relating to new product development process.
IⅤ. Qualification
Job Requirements:
Language: English
Experience: 1+ years quality engineering field experience, experience in automotive production manufacture is preferred.
Education: Bachelor degree or significant relevant work experience (Engineering or management major preferred)
Physical Condition: Advanced Quality Engineer will be required to work in an office environment at a desk and interacting with others on the manufacturing floor. Must be able to travel to customer facility, as required.
Other Requirements:
1. Proficient in using Microsoft Office software Word, Excel, Power Point;
2. Proficient in IATF Core (Five) Tools and quality statistics knowledge;
3. Proficient in using 8D method to solve problems;
Professional Knowledge, Skills:
1. Familiar with manufacturing principle and technological process of automotive glass;
2. Familiar with the company's quality policy, objectives and commitments;
3. Have a good knowledge of IATF 16949 quality management system;
4. Have a basic knowledge of ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 quality system;
5. Familiar with various standards and inspection/test methods for automotive glass;
6. Quality planning of new projects;
7. Risk assessment and management of new projects;
8. Able to solve problems systematically;
9. Relatively better planning, organization, Leadership and control ability
10. Relatively strong sense of responsibility and sensitivity; be able to actively deal with problems;
Training Required:
1. Systematically trained in manufacturing technique of automotive glass and main equipment;
2. Systematically trained in APQP;
3. Trained in IATF 16949 quality system (including five tools);
4. Systematically trained in quality tools.
5. Trained in related OEM and Tier 1-specific requirements.
V. Work Environment:
1. Internal: Office/workshops in plant;
2. External: Various business divisions/customer area.
VI. Key Performance Indicators:
PPAP on time rate, Sample quality, Program benefits, Customer audit and Customer satisfaction.
