The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. This role involves managing payroll-related data, responding to employee inquiries, and collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless payroll operations. This is a full-time permanent role and is 5 days in office in NYC.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing:
  • Process payroll for all employees, including calculating wages, deductions, and benefits.
  • Ensure accurate and timely distribution of payroll.
  • Handle special payroll runs for bonuses, commissions, and other non-standard payments.
  • Data Management:
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, timekeeping data, and payroll adjustments.
  • Ensure accuracy of data entry and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax reports, including quarterly and annual filings.
  • Generate and distribute payroll reports to management as needed.
  • Employee Support:
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits.
  • Provide support and guidance on payroll-related issues and processes.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate and efficient payroll processing.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • System Maintenance:
  • Assist in the maintenance and improvement of payroll systems and software.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure system integrity and data accuracy.


Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role.
  • Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
