Supply Chain Specialist

Our offshore wind client is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to join their global team. The Supply Chain Planner is a critical role within the Offshore Business focusing on coordinating with contractors to ensure timely delivery of the supply chain within the offshore project. The assignment is two projects, where the candidate will be responsible for monitoring of the key equipment manufacturing, analyzing the contractor’s manufacturing programs, ensuring timely delivery and identifying potential optimizations over an estimated 5-year period until the key equipment are manufactured. The position requires travelling to various facilities worldwide, mostly Europe, during the supply chain manufacturing phase.
Responsibilities:
- Coordination with suppliers and internal teams to ensure the timely delivery of the materials.
- Review and analyze the different contractor’s manufacturing programs to identify potential optimizations and ensure alignment with project timelines.
- Identify schedule delays and support management in resolution and decision-making.
- Identify and assess impacts of program risk. Elaborate potential recovery plans with Package Managers and make recommendations to the Lead Planner.
- Travel to the different manufacturing facilities worldwide, mostly Europe, to oversee the production of the key equipment and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare weekly/monthly updates: Develop and maintain weekly/monthly manufacturing program updates, providing detailed reports on progress and any issues encountered.
- Assist in the development and execution of project plans, ensuring supply chain activities are aligned with overall project schedule.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified or equivalent qualifications and experience.
- Proven experience in Offshore Wind/Renewable/Energy Projects or Supply Chain/Fabrication Process.
- Availability for travel worldwide; mostly Europe.
- 5 years of experience in Scheduling & Planning large complex programs valued over $100M.
- Advanced experience with Primavera Project Planner (P6), Microsoft Office suites and Document Management Systems.
- Ability to manage contractor’s programs which require interface and precise coordination with multiple disciplines (structures, turbines, electrical cables, offshore substations, ports, and vessels).
