Position: Project Structural Superintendent (General)

Location: Park City, Utah

Project Overview:

Join IKON Construction for an extraordinary opportunity to lead the Sommet Blanc Project, a luxury high-rise condominium development located in the prestigious Deer Valley area of Park City, Utah. This ski-in, ski-out resort complex spans over 300,000 square feet and consists of three individual buildings featuring 49 high-end luxury condos, a spa, a restaurant, a bowling alley, and other premium amenities. The project involves extensive concrete and structural steel work, including slabs, post-tensioned structures, building cores, and complex roof systems.

We are seeking an experienced Construction General Superintendent to oversee this technically demanding and highly detailed project.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Project Structural Superintendent, maintaining strict quality control is paramount for the success of the Sommet Blanc Project. You will ensure that all structural elements meet or exceed project specifications, adhere to industry best practices, and comply with local building codes. This project requires the best of the best for fit and finish, and careful attention to the highest standards of quality.

  • Project Scheduling & Planning: Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and manage project timelines and schedules.
  • Subcontractor Management: Ensure subcontractors have the necessary resources and support to meet project deadlines.
  • Safety Compliance: Oversee all on-site safety protocols to maintain a secure and hazard-free work environment.
  • MEP Coordination: Work with subcontractors, including MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams, to ensure proper planning and installation of embedded components.
  • Quality Control & Layout Oversight: Serve as the final quality control authority, ensuring proper layout, floor flatness, and overall structural integrity.
  • Community & Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with local HOAs and community representatives to adhere to construction guidelines.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate with Park City building authorities and ensure timely completion of all required inspections.
  • Weather Protection & Year-Round Work: Implement measures to protect the project from weather conditions, ensuring year-round construction progress.
  • Document Management: Assist in managing RFIs (Requests for Information), CCDs (Construction Change Directives), Change Orders, and other contract-related documents.
  • BIM Coordination: Collaborate with the project team to update BIM (Building Information Modeling) to predict and mitigate potential system clashes.
  • After-Hours Coordination: Ensure after-hours work is covered by responsible personnel, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in commercial or high-rise residential construction, with at least 4 years in similar large-scale projects involving concrete and steel structures.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, with the ability to work within various construction management software systems.
  • Leadership & Communication: Excellent leadership abilities and communication skills to coordinate a large team of professionals.
  • Commitment to Quality: Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality control.
  • Bilingual Preferred: English/Spanish proficiency is an advantage.
  • Driving Record & Drug Screening: Must have a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record and pass a pre-employment drug test.
