Overview:


Our client is an established manufacturing company that supplies their technology to clients in the oil and gas, petrochemical, mining, and industrial sectors worldwide.

Due to their continued growth, they require the services of a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to be based in their Houston, TX facility.


Please note that our client is searching for candidates with a manufacturing background.


Responsibilities:


The key responsibility for this role will be to ensure compliance of processes and procedures to customers and industry quality standards, and provide engineering and quality support to operations and other departments.

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will need to Identify, implement, and sustain the appropriate quality and process controls and documentation (error-proofing devices, standard work, parameter tables, control plans or ITPs, inspection and check sheets, etc.), and support concurrent engineering efforts in new design and product or process development by participating in the launch process.

They will need to ensure that internal process data is collected, analyzed, and used to understand and continuously improve the capability of all our client's processes from Sales and Engineering, to Operations and Manufacturing, Project Management to Service, as well as other office processes, providing corrective actions and for continuous improvement initiatives.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (i.e. Mechanical or Industrial) or other technical areas.
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement through application of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and tools and effective project management preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Skilled in planning, organizing, tracking, and adjusting projects with multiple phases in coordination with all departments.
  • General design knowledge and understanding of ASME Section VIII, ASME B16.34, B31.1, B31.3, ASTM and other related standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional work groups including suppliers, customers and associates, both verbally and in writing. 
  • Supports and manages differences of opinions, uses consensus and collaboration to debate and resolve issues.
