Responsibilities
- the establishment of manufacturing facilities in the North America Region (NAR) and oversee all facets of customer projects within NAR.
- the establishment of a new JOYNEXT plant in NAR/Mexico post completion of onsite training at the JOYNEXT plant in Europe/Poland.
- plan, monitor, and manage the setup of assembly lines, while coordinating cross-functional activities onsite.
- regularly with pertinent stakeholders, ensuring coordination of key project milestones, initiating corrective actions as needed, and evaluating risks.
- ultimate accountability for the progress, timely completion, and smooth operation of the new plant and assembly line.
- the initial phases of new business acquisition by collating project details for quotations and aiding account managers in technical exchanges until obtaining definitive customer confirmation.
- as the primary liaison with customers, addressing their requirements and maintaining seamless communication with internal teams.
- all facets of project development to ensure adherence to company Product Development Process (PDP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) standards, emphasizing quality, cost, schedule, and risk management.
- and uphold the Project Development Master Plan to effectively guide project execution.
- responsibility for post-production project tasks, including planning and implementing product modifications to meet both customer and company standards.
- and facilitate various project meetings, ranging from kick-off sessions to gate reviews and weekly updates, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- to attain predefined quality, cost, and deadline objectives, furnishing comprehensive progress reports at each project phase.
Qualifications
- degree or higher in Automotive Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of substantial experience in customer project management within the automotive industry, showcasing a proven history of successful project execution. Experience in automotive component manufacturing is a plus.
- in all project-relevant domains, coupled with expertise in utilizing planning tools such as MS Project.
- automotive expertise encompassing IATF 16949 and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes. Demonstrated capability in managing the entire production process from incoming quality control (IQC) to the global shipment of ECUs. Adept at steering automotive parts development projects effectively.
- knowledge and experience in automotive electronics. In-depth comprehension of car cockpit, T-Box, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) related components or other automotive electronic parts is a plus.
- communication abilities to orchestrate a cross-regional team of specialists (e.g., industrial engineering, purchasing, supply chain management, R&D) and collaborate effectively with onsite plant management and quality assurance (QA). Proficiency in both English and Spanish is advantageous.
