High-volume family-style restaurant seeking an Executive Sous Chef to lead an outstanding culinary team and help uphold a decades-long legacy of serving unforgettable meals. The ideal candidate is ambitious and exhibits exceptional leadership qualities. As Executive Sous Chef, you will be tasked with making sure every dish is consistently made with immense love and care.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the head chef to develop and execute a menu that celebrates family-style dining
  • Lead and mentor the culinary team, fostering a culture of teamwork, creativity, and excellence in food preparation and presentation
  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including inventory management, scheduling, and maintaining sanitation standards to ensure a clean and safe working environment
  • Provide hands-on training and constructive feedback to kitchen staff to help develop them into future sous chefs
  • Ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen consistently meet our quality standards


Qualifications:

  • Minimum five (5) years experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in high-volume NYC restaurants where annual sales exceed $20m
  • Stable and consistent work history, no job hoppers ..
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering memorable dining experiences for our guests.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
