Pay: $25-$35 DOE

  • Perform all payroll related activities for the department including the processing of time sheets, compiling payroll statistics and calculating payrolls.
  • Prepare manual payroll checks for terminating employees.
  • Analyze payrolls for accuracy before extensions are made and interprets the Houston Housing Authority policies and governmental regulations in connection with payroll procedures.
  • Review and analyze payroll edit runs, making the necessary adjustments by maintaining control of data.
  • Maintain payroll files for all employees.
  • Receive and respond to internal and external requests for payroll-related Inquiries and insurance.
  • Provide assistance to auditors and Internal personnel concerning all payroll related questions as they arise.
  • Distribute the payroll checks and time sheets for next pay period.
  • Reconcile insurance bills, credit union, 941 deposit & other payroll liabilities and payments.
  • Prepare semi-monthly payroll checks for the Houston Housing Authority, Credit Union, IRS and any court mandated deductions.
  • Prepare 941 and SUTA reports and submits for review with schedules attached for that quarter.
  • Experience in KRONOS and ADP required.
