Job Title: Data Analyst – E-Commerce (Contract to Hire)

Location: Alexandria, VA (Hybrid - In office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)

Pay: $28/hour (contract) | $65,000/year (permanent)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our accounting team, focusing on the e-commerce side of the business. This role involves collecting and analyzing data related to accounts payable and purchase orders within an Oracle system. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL, strong Excel skills, and some exposure to accounting functions like AP, AR, or Billing.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and resolve accounts payable and purchase order exceptions to ensure full-cycle completion of E-Commerce orders.
  • Develop SQL queries and reporting tools to meet evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate with E-Commerce operations, IT, and customer care to resolve AP and PO issues.
  • Monitor data for AP holds and exceptions, providing regular updates to management.
  • Support internal and external stakeholders with data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in developing new analytical tools and processes for the E-Commerce accounting team.
  • Provide additional support to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Oracle Database Architecture.
  • Exposure to accounting functions such as AP, AR, or Billing.
  • Experience with E-Commerce systems and EDI processes in a high-volume environment preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
