Houston, United States Optimus - People. Solutions. Delivered. Full time

Job Title: Senior Integration and Automation Engineer

Location: Energy Corridor, In-Office 4 Days a Week

Overview:

A key Optimus client is seeking a Senior Integration and Automation Engineer (not QA Engineer) for a prominent client located in the Energy Corridor. This role is crucial in designing, developing, and leading the implementation of automated solutions and system integrations to enhance business operations. The position involves maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, providing confidence in technology solutions, and overseeing the development and maintenance of automation scripts and tools.

**NOTE: A full stack developer will likely not be happy in this role. This opportunity is integration and automation of their current infrastructure that they are modernizing, using AWS products. This company buys "out of the box" technologies and does some development, but it won't be a lot of building things from scratch ...BUT THE COMPANY AND STABILITY AND BENEFITS AND CULTURE ARE AMAZING. Great place to work

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement automated solutions and system integrations to optimize business processes.
  • Lead integration and automation projects, establish technical direction, and drive collaboration across teams.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python and .NET.
  • Utilize AWS services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, SNS, SQS) to support integration and automation initiatives.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs and technology solutions.
  • Apply DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in delivering IT solutions to business initiatives across cross-functional teams.
  • 5+ years of experience in integration and automation engineering.
  • Proficiency in Python and .NET scripting for development and automation tasks.
  • Extensive experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, SNS, SQS).
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, web services, and data integration methodologies.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, IaC).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect and/or AWS Certified Developer (preferred).

Candidates must be US Citizens, Green Card holders, or independently authorized to work in the US. H1B visa sponsorship is not available for this role

Qualified candidates should send their resumes to Jennifer.Hibbetts@optimus-us.co

m. We look forward to your application
