Job Summary:

The Quality Harvest Foods EHS Manager will be responsible for partnering with all functions of the business to execute company safety policies and expectations, as well as ensuring compliance to all applicable local and regional regulations. This position is critical in driving the safety of all QHF employees.

Responsibilities:

· Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risk in our processes and ensure a safe working environment for all QHF employees.

· Build trust and confidence across all teams and inspire change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis.

· Effectively communicate risks, trends, and action plans verbally and in writing across the organization and to senior leadership.

· Create safety best practices and expand on teaching and training employees on safety best practices.

· Possess excellent safety program knowledge as well as environmental and ergonomic knowledge and be able to demonstrate this expertise on a daily basis.

· Lead site-wide Safety Committee meetings and ensure communication and action items occur post-meeting.

· Possess a thorough understanding of local/regional regulations related to safety, food safety and OSHA.

· Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable safety policies; create and update safety policies as needed in partnering with HR.

· Assess and analyze plant’s performance against measurable KPIs and all regulations.

· Regularly identify and prioritize areas of opportunity, identify a plan for the site to implement, and fix all identified deficiencies.

· Analyze safety metrics and review weekly and monthly incident trends to discover patterns and rationalize the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the safety risk is highest.

· Partner closely with Human Resources (including Onboarding & Training Specialists) regarding Workers Compensation incidents to identify necessary improvements and to recognize any safety trends to minimize future occurrences.

· Partner closely with Quality department to ensure alignment on any action items that overlap between Safety and Quality.

· Partner with the Maintenance department to ensure compliance with maintenance-related action items.

· Perform frequent plant safety audits to identify all non-compliance equipment and/or processes at the site; audit employee behaviors to ensure that training, auditing and corrective actions are consistent and ongoing.

· Seek ongoing feedback regarding safety needs from employees in all departments and roles throughout the facility and throughout all shifts.

· Create a structured system for the reporting of safety concerns and method of addressing items as needed.

Qualifications Requirements:

· 2 plus years of safety experience

· Possess excellent safety knowledge regarding best practices

· Previous manufacturing experience; experience in the food and/or beverage industry a plus

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Excellent ability to train others on safety best practices

· Ability to create KPIs and analyze trends over time
