Job Description:
We are seeking a friendly and compassionate bilingual Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish, with excellent communication skills and a warm personality. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical staff.

Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome patients in a warm and professional manner.
Assist patients with the check-in process and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
Schedule appointments and manage the physician's calendar efficiently.
Communicate effectively with patients in both English and Spanish to gather medical history and reason for visit.
Take patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight.
Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and organized.
Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing.
Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine tests or blood glucose monitoring.
Administer medications under the direction of a physician.
Sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
Provide patients with clear instructions on medication, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
Assist with minor surgical procedures as needed.
Remove sutures, change dressings, and provide wound care as directed.
Conduct electrocardiograms (EKGs) or other diagnostic tests as required
Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Assist with medical office administrative tasks, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records.
Entering patient orders.
Utilize computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, and typing skills for efficient documentation and administrative tasks.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, and typing skills.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
Previous experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Friendly and compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
