Junior IT Budget and Process Coordinator


3 Month Contract to Hire.


Remote Role - MUST be based in Colorado.


$25-$30/Hour.


The Contract Budget and Process Coordinator will assist the SVP & CIO and the IT department with budgets, invoices, reports, invoice/payment investigations, vendor communications, meetings, and other departmental matters as assigned. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with broad interests who can prioritize and simultaneously make progress on multiple assignments.


Repsonsibilities:


  • Partner with IT and leadership teams to develop and monitor detailed departmental budgets by expenditure category.
  • Organize and prepare departmental meetings under the direction of the SVP & CIO, collaborating with leadership on agenda and content.
  • Gain proficiency with existing processes through knowledge transfer from the previous incumbent. Work cross-functionally to identify and implement efficiency improvements, maintaining documentation and workflow diagrams.
  • Track and manage project finances including budgets, invoices, payments, accruals, forecasts, and purchase orders. Ensure contracts and invoices are documented and processed promptly.
  • Enter contracts and relevant information into the contract tracking and lifecycle management system, including attaching invoices to contracts for real-time budget tracking.
  • Receive, code, and obtain approvals for invoices, coordinating with finance and accounting to ensure timely payments.
  • Assist with various departmental and administrative tasks such as creating presentations, documents, organizing meetings, and planning employee events.
  • Collaborate with business and IT partners to enhance business value and promote continuous improvement.


Requirements:


  • 1-3 years of professional experience in budget tracking and process coordination within an IT/technology environment.
  • Demonstrated key skills in budget tracking and process coordination, with at least 1 year of applied experience on small to medium projects.
  • Capable of adapting to fluid situations, quick self-learner, and adept at managing complexity.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in team settings and across the broader organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Smartsheet and LinkSquares is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
