DCS Corporation is looking for you  We have an immediate need for an experienced, solutions-oriented computer scientist, computer engineer or software developer to augment our extensive autonomy software development, modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts.

Essential Job Functions:

Interpret customer application requirements and identify research gaps in control and path planning.

Formulate problems using developed models

Analyze/solve continuous and discrete optimization problems.

Implement theoretical research into practical algorithms.

Implement algorithms and software (Python, Julia, and/or C++) for route/motion planning.

Develop path planning algorithms that can be eventually deployed on hardware

Document findings for technical publications and assist in integrating algorithms into customer simulation tools.

Collaborate within Agile-based teams to design, develop, test, and deploy autonomy and control software.

Engage with government and industry customers to define requirements, present results, and innovate solutions.

Occasionally travel for short-term assignments.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

At least an MS degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or related technical discipline and at least four years of related experience (a focus on optimization is preferred).

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: must be able to attain at least a Secret level security clearance.

Experience developing software using programming languages such as Python, Julia, or C++.

Ability to work well in team-oriented environments.

Ability to complete individual tasking.

Ability to travel, if needed.

Experience working with source code control systems (specifically Git).

Desired Skills:

Active U.S. DoD security clearance.

Experience working in a Linux environment.

Experience and understanding of autonomy and control systems.

Experience with modeling, simulation, and analysis

Experience developing numerical algorithms and floating point arithmetic.

Proficiency solving mathematical and physics-based problems of moderate to high complexity.

Domain knowledge in an engineering discipline relating to aerospace and defense (e.g., Aero, G&C, EE).
