Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the preparation, distribution, and reporting processes for payroll in accordance with established timelines.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Manage the administration of garnishments, 401K contributions, FMLA, and other deductions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
- Prepare and provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues, benefit plans, and collective agreement provisions.
- Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and Accounting teams to align and reconcile payroll data.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records.
- Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll management role.
