Position : Payroll Manager - UKG - Hybrid Los Angeles, CA
Compensation Package - $110k
About the Role We're seeking a Payroll Manager to join our clients team, responsible for overseeing and managing payroll functions across multiple states. This role requires a meticulous eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a solid understanding of payroll compliance. Some travel may be required. Proficiency UKG Payroll.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee biweekly payroll processing for employees in multiple states.
- Manage payroll data reconciliation, including addressing discrepancies and resolving issues.
- Generate and analyze a variety of payroll-related reports, including Payroll Registers and Tax Liability reports.
- Collaborate with state tax authorities to resolve tax-related issues.
- Handle year-end processes, including W-2s, tax levies, and garnishments.
- Address employee inquiries through an HR ticketing system.
- Execute off-cycle payroll and instant checks as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience managing multi-state payroll.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Proficiency in UKG Pro Payroll and UKG Time & Attendance.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
