Russell Tobin's client, a social media services company is hiring an Accountant

 to work remotely

Employment Type: Contract/Remote

Pay rate: $45-$51/hr. DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee assigned general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes with emphasis in payroll, benefits and intercompany accounting
  • Perform analysis of financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accrual processes and business insights
  • Execute compliance with internal controls
  • Support external audits

Required Skills:

  • Big 4 accounting firm (KPMG, EY, PwC or EY) experience
  • Microsoft Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, etc)
  • CPA/CA or CPA/CA path

Requirements:

  • Solid technical and operational expertise in production related areas.
  • Stellar organizational, administrative, and analytical skills
  • 3+years of accounting experience is required

Nice to have:

  • 3+ years of account experience in a technology firm or high grown company operating in a SOX environment is preferred
  • Accounting ERP experience (preferably Oracle)
  • CPA or chartered accountant
  • Blackline systems
