Location: Merritt Island, FL

CTH

Compensation: $40.70 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM


About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inspector III to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our mechanical components through meticulous inspection processes.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed inspections of materials according to specified inspection plans, including dimensions, part marking, and traceability.
  • Thoroughly review all documentation supplied for hardware acceptance against engineering requirements.
  • Perform first article reviews and receiving inspections, providing critical feedback to engineering and procurement teams.
  • Document and report any discrepancies, contributing to the resolution process.
  • Estimate inspection times accurately and assist in maintaining and tracking the calibration of inspection equipment.
  • Engage in process improvement initiatives and maintain strict configuration control over files and job records.
  • Uphold safety standards within an industrial environment.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in receiving or dimensional inspection, preferably within the aerospace sector.
  • Proficient in GD&T principles as per the ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information professionally.
  • Skilled in the use of precision hand tools, gages, optical comparators, and surface plate work, with the aptitude to select appropriate tools for various inspection tasks.
  • Comfortable with the use of personal computers.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills, capable of prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • A proven track record of building trust and maintaining positive, professional relationships, contributing to an inclusive workplace culture.
