Position Overview:  Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards.  Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.  Inspect, test or measure materials or products being produced

 

Responsibilities:
Read drawings and instructions to understand the requirements for the product or parts

Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality requirements

Select samples and inspect them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.).

Perform Incoming, In-process and final inspections. As well as rework and sorting of defective materials and products

Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.

Prepare and submit inspection reports to the quality manager as needed

Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products

Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager

 

Qualifications:
ASQ-QI Certification a plus

Education and Experience:

High School Degree or GED required

1 Year experience as quality inspector or relevant role

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Familiarity with measuring equipment, calipers, micrometers etc.

Working knowledge of MS Office
