Assistant HR Manager

The Assistant HR Manager will support the HR Manager in overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This role will involve working closely with the HR team to implement effective HR policies, manage employee relations, ensure legal compliance, and enhance overall employee engagement and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process, including job posting, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
  • Support employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Help manage employee relations by addressing issues, providing guidance, and resolving conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with company goals.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and manage the HRIS system for tracking employee information, attendance, FMLA and performance.
  • Coordinate training and development programs to support employee growth and career progression.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations, including health and safety policies.
  • Support payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely compensation.
  • Monitor employee performance management processes and assist with annual appraisals.
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager on special projects, including diversity and inclusion initiatives, employee engagement activities, and organizational development.
  • Provide support in handling disciplinary actions, terminations, and exit interviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or assistant management role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HR software (HRIS) and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
