As a Permanent Fire Alarm Technician, you will be an integral part of our construction team, responsible for the installation, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems in a variety of construction environments. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field. This role requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about safety and adept at problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
2. Conduct regular testing and inspections of fire alarm systems to ensure they are in perfect working condition.
3. Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to ensure correct installation of fire alarm systems.
4. Troubleshoot and repair faults in fire alarm systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum functionality.
5. Coordinate with construction teams and other technicians to ensure the seamless integration of fire alarm systems into building designs.
6. Provide training and guidance to other team members on fire alarm system installation, testing, and maintenance.
7. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of all installation, testing, and repair work.
8. Stay updated on the latest developments in fire safety technology and regulations.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or in a similar role in the construction industry.
2. Valid FAL License is mandatory.
3. NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
4. Proficient in conduit installation and understanding of electrical circuitry.
5. Extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems, including their installation, testing, and maintenance procedures.
6. Strong understanding of fire safety codes and regulations.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair faults in fire alarm systems.
8. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with construction teams and other technicians.
10. Must be physically able to perform the duties of the job, including lifting heavy equipment and working at heights.
11. Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
