Events Construction Manager

Our client, a leading provider in print, build, fabrication, and live event technology services, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Events Construction Manager to lead our print media installation team.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in large-format printing, installation, and project management, with a proven track record of managing high-value projects in a fast-paced environment. You will spearhead the integration of visual branding components, interactive exhibits, and immersive promotional features, guaranteeing timely delivery, precision execution, and exceptional quality across all initiatives.

Focus:

  • Direct and oversee construction crews, managing every phase of event-related installations from inception through completion.
  • Work closely with architects, construction teams, and project managers to ensure smooth execution of event setups, including signage and large-scale displays.
  • Manage daily operations, allocate resources effectively, set clear priorities, and ensure all project milestones are achieved on time.
  • Drive continuous improvements by implementing best practices and streamlining installation processes to boost team performance.
  • Track project expenses, schedules, and deliverables to ensure successful execution and client satisfaction.
  • Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards, including adherence to OSHA guidelines.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to meet project goals.
  • Mentor and train team members, promoting a culture of professional development and operational excellence.
  • Maintain clear communication channels between field teams and corporate leadership, ensuring consistent project alignment.
  • Visit project sites as needed to supervise and manage installations, ensuring quality control and timely delivery.


Skill Set:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Proven track record of progressive leadership experience (5-10 years) in visual communications, environmental graphics, or a similar industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead medium-sized production or installation teams (20-75 million dollar range) to meet or exceed project targets.
  • At least 4 years of industry experience in production operations or a similar industrial setting.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with construction, architectural project management, and signage manufacturing/installation projects.
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing best practices for continuous improvement in a manufacturing or installation setting.
  • Skilled in leveraging commonly used software applications, such as Microsoft Office, and specialized project management tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and other structures.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate corporate communications and field labor relations.
  • Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated emotional intelligence and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations is a plus.
  • Persistent, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing high-value projects with tight deadlines and 40+ resources.
  • Must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in managing dynamic project environments.
  • Travel is required based on business needs.
