English Language Arts Teacher (K-6)

South Academy of International Languages (SAIL) seeks a passisonate and dedicated teacher who is ready to inspire elementary students through English Language Arts (ELA). At SAIL, we are committed to providing a full language immersion experience where all students learn core curriculum content while being taught in Chinese, French, German, or Japanese. ELA instruction is provided in partnership with full language immersion instruction. We welcome candidates enthusiastic aobut fostering student growth and collaboration, regardless of background or ability. This teacher should be a devoted educator who puts the holistic growth needs of sturdfents first while crafting and delivering an impactful curriculum that promotes reading, writing, and linguistic/communication skills in English. 

Responsiblities:

-Develop and implement engaging and standards-aligned English Language Arts curriculum for students in grades

K-5.

-Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, cirtical thinking, and creativity.

-Collaborate with language immersion classroom teachers adn other colleagues to promote growth in reading, writing, and linguistic/communciation skiills in English. 

-Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including English language learners and students with varying abilities.

-Assess student progress regularly and use data, including MTSS, to inform instructional decisions and interventions. 

-Provide menaingful feedback to students and communicate regularly with families about student progress and academic goals.

-Participate in professional development opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to continously improve teaching practices.

-Actively contirbute to the school communituy through participation in meetings, committees, and school events.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's Degree in Education or Related Field

-Must hold North Carolina certification or have credentials to attain NC certifcation

-Excelllent communciation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and families from diverse backgrounds.

-Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusing learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.

-Commitment to collaboration, teamwork, and continuous professional growth and development

-Familiarity with North Carolina ELA Curriculum standards and assessment practices is preferred.
