The Mary Ellen Falzone Diabetes Center is our region's first facility dedicated to diabetes education and care. The center is a state-of-the-art facility located on the north campus of ProMedica Toledo Hospital. Our expert, multidisciplinary team of endocrinologists, diabetes educators, dietitians, midlevel providers, and pharmacists help our patients with diabetes counseling, diabetes support, and medication therapy management.

Position Summary: 

The Support Coordinator III is responsible for managing clinical aspects of the quality metrics and to ensure efficient operation of the Diabetes and Nutrition Office. This position performs support functions for the department manager and supports staff with Epic functions. Other duties include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for all office functions such as scheduling, phone calls, filing, faxing, copying, and mail Provides oversight of program insurance processes for appropriate registering/scheduling, timely entry, and other detailed billing requirements ADA responsibilities data entry for Harbor software and reporting Obtains intake information for all patients, new or established, schedules appointments and completes registration process. Verifies demographic and insurance information, updates records when necessary. Responsible for maintaining supplies and inventory lists Job Requirements High school diploma; Associates degree preferred  Minimum two (2) years experience in a office coordinator/support role or equivalent experience Excellent interpersonal skills, computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.), strong organizational skills, data entry and effective communication skills Experience in a medical office setting, medical terminology and electronic health records highly preferred
